Une chouette entreprise familiale avec 4 4x4 tous terrains et un chauffeur hyper sympa qui s’arrêtera au milieu du chemin rocailleux pour prendre un brin de thym très parfumé et prendre des photos panoramiques avant de vous déposer pour 4 heures sur les hauteurs de Balos (lagune magnifique) d’où vous descendrez 20mn vers la lagune. Ils vous posent en 4X4 climatisé au début de la marche de 25 mns et vous récupèrent au bout de 3h. Comptez 30 mns de montée ensuite. Ils offrent une bouteille d'eau glacée quand on les rejoint. Full Description

The Minoan palace is the main tourist site of Knossos, an important city in antiquity, with continuous life from the Neolithic era to the 5th century AD. It is built on the hill of Kefalas, with easy access to both the sea and the interior of Crete. According to tradition, it was the seat of the wise King Minos. Fascinating myths, such as the Labyrinth with the Minotaur and Daedalus with Icarus, are connected to the palace of Knossos.

The numerous, exceptionally artistic finds from the palace, including vases, vessels, figurines, the archive of Linear B tablets, as well as the originals of the frescoes, are housed in the Heraklion Museum.

Excursion Program

Our trip begins with your pick-up from your hotel or a nearby location. The journey lasts about three hours. Our first stop will be near Rethymno for a coffee break.

Next, we will visit the Palace of Knossos, where you will be guided by our tour guide. The duration of the tour is about one hour. In the center of Heraklion, you will have free time for lunch and shopping. With our guide, you will also have the opportunity to visit the Heraklion Archaeological Museum. On our way back, we will stop in the beautiful town of Rethymno for an hour to explore this charming city of Crete.
