Choississez Panteli, le meilleur guide (on a pas testé les autres mais ça peut difficilement être mieux). Un très bon moment passé avec lui, rires, anecdotes, et supers conseils

You drive over a picturesque road, and then get to an uncrowded part of the beach, enjoying the marvelous view of the lagoon from the top. We saw from the distance the crowds disembarking the boat and were so happy that we are not among them. We took a 9:00 trip, so it was a little hard to go back in the heat of 13:30, but definitely doable and worth the effort; the height difference is about 150 m. By the way, the road itself is not that bad, but full of sharp rocks, which can damage the tire of a regular car

Todos los empleados fueron majísimos, atentos y súper amables en todo momento. Incluso tuvieron el detalle de darnos galletas y agua fría tanto a la ida como a la vuelta, algo que se agradece muchísimo. Mi pareja y yo decidimos optar por este servicio para llegar hasta Balos porque no sabíamos con certeza si nuestro coche de alquiler podría llegar. Además, muchas compañías de alquiler prohíben acceder a Balos con sus vehículos e incluso pueden llegar a imponer multas. Sin duda, creemos que fue la mejor opción. No solo te evitas preocupaciones y posibles problemas con el coche, sino que además conviertes el trayecto en parte de la experiencia. Es entretenido, diferente y puedes disfrutar del recorrido tranquilamente, sin preocuparte por nada. ¡Una experiencia totalmente recomendable! Full Description

The area of Preveli is located about 35 km south of Rethymno. It is one of the most famous beaches in Southern Crete and attracts thousands of visitors every summer. In the past, it was a favorite destination for hippies. It features the second-largest palm forest in Crete, after Vai. Follow the marked path, and you will be enchanted by the greenery and the wonderful sounds of the forest, with the sounds of running water. In the large pools that form from time to time, you can take a refreshing swim.

At the mouth of the river, a sandy beach is formed with a pebble bottom and very cool waters due to the river.
