You drive over a picturesque road, and then get to an uncrowded part of the beach, enjoying the marvelous view of the lagoon from the top. We saw from the distance the crowds disembarking the boat and were so happy that we are not among them. We took a 9:00 trip, so it was a little hard to go back in the heat of 13:30, but definitely doable and worth the effort; the height difference is about 150 m. By the way, the road itself is not that bad, but full of sharp rocks, which can damage the tire of a regular car

Todos los empleados fueron majísimos, atentos y súper amables en todo momento. Incluso tuvieron el detalle de darnos galletas y agua fría tanto a la ida como a la vuelta, algo que se agradece muchísimo. Mi pareja y yo decidimos optar por este servicio para llegar hasta Balos porque no sabíamos con certeza si nuestro coche de alquiler podría llegar. Además, muchas compañías de alquiler prohíben acceder a Balos con sus vehículos e incluso pueden llegar a imponer multas. Sin duda, creemos que fue la mejor opción. No solo te evitas preocupaciones y posibles problemas con el coche, sino que además conviertes el trayecto en parte de la experiencia. Es entretenido, diferente y puedes disfrutar del recorrido tranquilamente, sin preocuparte por nada. ¡Una experiencia totalmente recomendable! Komolithi

15-minute stop

Our first stop is at the impressive Komolithi formations in Potamida, a rare geological phenomenon that resembles a lunar landscape. The unique clay hills create an extraordinary natural setting, perfect for photos and a short exploration in the peaceful countryside of western Crete.

Cave of Agia Sofia

30-minute stop

We continue to the historic Cave of Agia Sofia in Topolia. Surrounded by dramatic natural scenery, the cave offers panoramic views over the gorge and a special atmosphere filled with history and local tradition. The short walk up to the cave rewards visitors with stunning views and memorable photo opportunities.

Elafonissi Beach

3.5 hours free time

The highlight of our tour is the world-famous Elafonissi Beach, known for its crystal-clear shallow waters and its unique pink sand. Protected as part of the Natura 2000 environmental network, Elafonissi is considered one of Crete’s most spectacular natural destinations.

Enjoy plenty of free time for swimming, sunbathing, walking through the lagoon, and exploring this tropical paradise at your own pace.

Elos

1.5-hour stop

On our way back, we stop at the traditional village of Elos, a peaceful green village famous for its large plane trees, authentic atmosphere, and warm Cretan hospitality. Here you will have time to enjoy lunch, a coffee break, or simply relax in the shade while experiencing the quieter side of Crete.

Optional lunch stop:
The time here is optional in case you wish to enjoy a traditional meal in a local tavern. Alternatively, if you do not wish to dine, we can shorten the stop to approximately 1 hour in Elos and add an extra 30 minutes of free time at Elafonissi Beach, giving you more time to enjoy the beach.
